Swiss and The City: GenTwo Makes Its London Debut
The Swiss Embassy in London was buzzing with excitement on October 29 as over 200 people responded to our invitation to witness the UK launch of GenTwo, the Swiss fintech revolutionizing how we think about investment products.

Switzerland is a promising platform for innovative financial services," declared Swiss Ambassador Markus Leitner, highlighting the strengthening financial ties between Switzerland and the UK. His words set the stage for an evening that would showcase just how far Swiss financial innovation has come.
The Future of Finance, Now
Event moderator Damian Horner drew an unexpected but fitting parallel: "Think about one of Jimi Hendrix's early London gigs. The people there knew they were witnessing something special, even if they couldn't quite grasp how big it would become." The analogy resonated as GenTwo unveiled a stunning AI-generated video showing their vision of the future – where an asset manager transforms a high-end art collection into investible securities in minutes, with artificial intelligence handling everything from valuation to compliance to distribution.
From Vision to Reality
Co-founders Philippe Naegeli and Patrick Loepfe revealed the scale of the opportunity: $78 billion in assets currently sitting outside traditional banking systems, waiting to be unlocked. But this wasn't just vision – GenTwo has already helped clients create over 1,400 products worth more than $5 billion. "Invest in what you understand," Naegeli quoted Warren Buffett, before adding GenTwo's twist: "and invest in what you believe."
Swiss Innovation Meets British Finance
The evening showcased the broader Swiss fintech ecosystem, with partners like Swissquote, Sygnum, ISP, Incore, and Interactive Brokers demonstrating how their technologies complement GenTwo's platform. Goran Gusic, head of GenTwo's new UK office, emphasized their commitment to bringing this Swiss innovation to British shores.
As guests networked over Swiss specialties prepared by renowned Swiss caterer Mosimann's and sampled Zurich-made GinTwo gin, one participant captured the mood perfectly: "It's an evolution in what's happening in finance. It really feels like it's taking off – people are starting to get it."
A Team Effort
The evening's success owed much to the extraordinary support of the Swiss Embassy team and Swiss Global Enterprise, who provided not only their beautiful venue but also invaluable assistance with invitations and logistics. Their commitment to fostering Swiss-UK business relationships exemplified the spirit of cooperation that made the evening so special.
With its successful London debut, GenTwo has made it clear: the future of “Assetization” isn't coming – it's already here.
