In this podcast episode, I take the first of what will be many deep dives under the hood of what we call assetization. And I couldn’t have asked for a better guest to help get us on our way.

Anastasia Bondareva is the Head of Structuring at GenTwo. She and her team sit at the heart of our assetization engine, and are responsible for a large part of our securitization magic.

I sat down with Anastasia to get a broad overview of structuring at GenTwo as well as her perspective on the types of products we are doing and the advantages for clients and investors.

The interview is fairly technical.

We talk structuring, lifecycle management and regulation. We look at big-picture topics like assetization use cases and important details like the advantages of off-balance sheet/asset-backed structures. We also talk about GenTwo's role and that of our ecosystem partners.

Yet the conversation is anything but dull.

Over the past several years, Anastasia and her team have created over 1,500 products. They have turned everything from physical uranium and fine art collections to private equity funds, real estate projects and even digital assets, into securities with ISINs that can sit in any custody account.

Anastasia's personal journey is pretty interesting too. From Moscow to Berkeley to Zurich, she has studied and worked at some of the most prominent institutions in academia and finance.

But what really struck me about this talk was when she said 'every product tells a story.'

It's not just financial engineering that is going on here. Anastasia and her team are also thinking long and hard about the narrative behind each asset.

And as we know, there's nothing more powerful in the world than a good story.
