Marcuard Heritage closes a strategically important gap in its product range, thanks to its new partnership with GenTwo

The wealth manager Marcuard Heritage is entering into a partnership with the securitization specialist GenTwo, with the aim of making more alternative assets investable, creating an excellent long-term addition to its product range.

Swiss-based asset manager Marcuard Heritage sees itself as a future-oriented solution provider for client advisors. In particular, it offers major engagements through investment funds in a wide variety of jurisdictions. However, developing these demanding structures can often turn out to be a complicated and expensive process. For this reason, the company is now entering into a partnership with the Zurich-based provider of securitization platforms GenTwo, who designed a bespoke off-balance sheet issuing solution for Marcuard Heritage. The issuance solution allows the launching of actively managed certificates (AMC) with Swiss ISINs - without the usual involvement of a bank issuer.

With its expertise in the area of private markets, Marcuard Heritage has thus closed a significant gap in its product range. Now, new assets that were previously difficult to access have become easily investable for Wealth Management clients. By offering this additional capability, the company is not only lowering barriers to entry, but in essence creating an investment universe that is practically infinite in scope. It is an ideal response to the growing demand for new and previously portfolio-incompatible assets that have the potential to generate returns in the current environment and can lead to improved portfolio diversification. By expanding the product range to include new, future-oriented assets, Marcuard Heritage will increase its attractiveness to client advisors and end-customers, and in the long term will be able to take a leading position in the Swiss investment market.

“Setting up conventional investment funds always took a lot of time,” says Patrick Stauber, Group CEO at Marcuard Heritage. “From now on, however, we can launch tailor-made AMCs in an efficient, uncomplicated way and expand our range to include a number of alternative investment areas such as digital assets or real estate. We are looking forward to a fruitful and long-term cooperation with our new partner GenTwo – one that will truly create value."

Hakan Sesle, Head of Investment Solutions at Marcuard Heritage, added, “I have always felt that it is very important not only to offer clients tailor-made investment instruments, but also to facilitate their access to new assets and thus ensure that they have more opportunities for returns. Thanks to our relationship with securitization expert GenTwo, we have a strong partner at our side now. This capability is going to enrich our investment solutions and processes.”
