Global AMC Summit 2026: You’re Invited

This newsletter is part of The Assetizer, GenTwo's thought leadership platform.

Hey everyone,

This week, instead of a newsletter, I have an invitation for you.

Starting April 13, we at GenTwo will be running our inaugural Global AMC Summit. It’s primarily online, and all subscribers to The Assetizer are heartily invited to join us for one or more sessions.

The Summit is a five-day program of webinars and events geared towards independent financial advisors, wealth managers, family offices, banks and anyone else looking to better understand one of the most flexible tools available today for creating and issuing bankable investment products.

You can find the whole program and sign up for sessions at:

What you can expect

The speaker lineup for The Global AMC Summit

Our goal is to provide a bottom-up, practitioner’s view of AMCs. We’ve gathered legal experts, structuring specialists, issuers, and digital asset pioneers to explore what AMCs are, how they are evolving, how your peers are using them, and what you need to know about how to launch them successfully.

I will be moderating all the sessions, and I do think it’s a strong program. Here’s the overview:

Monday, April 13

  • Foundations: Understanding Actively Managed Certificates (2pm CET). Luca Bianchi, partner at Kellerhals Carrard and widely recognized as Switzerland’s foremost legal expert on AMCs, kicks off the week with a broad-based introduction to AMCs, covering legal frameworks, operational mechanics, strategic fit, and when AMCs make sense for your investment strategy.
  • AMCs Meet Digital Assets (6pm CET, in-person). In this panel discussion at our offices with Dominic Lohberger, Chief Product Officer at Sygnum Bank, and Florian Marty, Managing Director, GenTwo Digital, we will look at how AMCs enable actively managed crypto strategies, tokenized products, and next-generation investment vehicles.

Tuesday, April 14

  • AMCs and the American Markets (4pm CET). Fernando Concha Bambach, Director of Global Capital Market Sales at Luma Financial, will be joining us from the US for a talk on AMCs and the broader assetization market in the Americas. We’ll cover trends, innovations, and client demand, among other things.

Wednesday, April 15

  • AMCs from an Asset Manager's Perspective (2pm CET). I’ll be talking to Fabio Oertle, who heads Capital Markets at ISP, about the nuts and bolts of an AMC launch from an asset manager’s point of view. From documentation to pricing, operational expectations to common pitfalls, Fabio will be sharing his practitioner’s view.

Thursday, April 16

  • AMC Master Class | A case study in complex AMC issuance (2pm CET). In this one I am joined by two of my GenTwo colleagues – Matthew McShane from Structuring, and Pierric Tsien from Legal – for an in-depth case study on a complex AMC issuance. We’ll take you inside a real-world issuance — walking through the decisions, trade-offs, and operational realities.

Friday, April 17

  • AMC Breakfast (8am CET, in-person). If you happen to be in Zurich on this day, come join us for an informal AMC-themed breakfast. Over coffee and croissants, we’ll be sharing perspectives on AMCs with peers from the worlds of asset management, family offices, and banking.
  • Introducing GenTwo's Universal AMC Configurator (2pm CET). Our AMC Creator is a great way to quickly research, check the feasibility of and find partners for your next AMC Issuance. My colleague Melanie Glöckler has been intimately involved in both its design and researching how clients are looking at AMC tooling today. This should be a fascinating look not only at a platform, but also at an ecosystem.

So What’s an AMC?

If you’re not familiar with them, AMCs are a structured product that can be used to package any underlying or investment strategy into a tradable certificate, typically issued via an SPV and distributed via a bank. They enable investors to access exposure without direct ownership of underlying assets.

Traditionally associated with Switzerland and used primarily by private banks, they are coming of age today, as SRP put it in a recent report, “across private banking, asset management, family offices and institutional portfolios as a flexible alternative to traditional fund structures.”

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Tom Lyons, GenTwo
